PASANDA KARELA - Stuffed Bitter Gourd Recipe -


This dish is prepared with bitter gourd which has a high medicinal value. It can lower the level of glucose in blood; it is also good for stomach. The unlike bitter gourd is presented in a tasty dish, hopefully will be liked by all.

Given below the details of required ingredients

INGREDIENT

Bitter gourd 4
Onion chopped ½ cup
Ginger & garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chilli 5 or 6
Medium size prawn 200gm
Coconut grated 1 cup
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Salt to taste
Mustard oil 2 tbsp
Fenugreek seeds few

PROCESS

Slice the bitter gourd
Wash the prawn and remove the strings of head, marinate the prawn with salt and turmeric powder and lightly fry, keep aside
Heat oil in a pan and add fenugreek seeds
Add chopped onion and fry until golden brown
Add ginger & garlic paste, stir will
Add cumin, coriander and turmeric powder, fry for few seconds
Add bitter gourd and salt, cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes
Add prawn and chilies, mix will, you can add little amount of water if required
Add coconut and stir well
It will be a dry preparation
You can garnish it by coriander leaves
