NAVRATAN MURG (CHICKEN WITH 9 NUTS)


INGREDIENT

Chicken 500 gm (cut into pieces), Sour curd beaten 1 cup, Ghee ½ cup, Onion paste 1 cup, Ginger paste 2 tbsp, Red chilli paste 1 tsp, Cream ½ cup, Kewra water (essence) 1 tbsp

INGREDIENT FOR 9 NUTS

Pistachio (pista) 7/8, Almond 2 tbsp, Cashew nuts 7/8, Walnut halves 5, Pine nut 5, Water melon seeds 1 tsp, Melon seeds 1 tsp, Raisins 1 tsp and Sunflower seeds 1 tsp.

PROCESS

. Sock Pistachio and Almond in water and remove the skin
. Make a fine paste of all nuts
. Keep some nuts for garnishing
. Marinate chicken with curd and salt for 4 hours
. Heat ghee, add onion, ginger and red chilli paste
. Stir well and sauté
. Add chicken with marinated
. Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes
. Add nut paste and mix well
. Add cream and kewra water (essence)
. Garnish with nuts
