LAHORI KOFTA (LAHORE STYLE)


Lahore is a city of Pakistan; it has a rich food culture adopted from Mughol cuisine. The tasty of Lahore is famous in India and Middle East countries.

INGREDIENT

Grated tofu or paneer 2 cups
Dried coconut powder or grated coconut 1 cup
Chopped almond and cashew nut
White pepper powder ½ tbsp
Nutmeg powder 1 tsp
White flour 4/5 tbsp
Oil for deep fry
Salt to taste
Sugar 1 tsp

INGREDIENT FOR CURRY

1. Ginger paste 2 tsp
2. Cashew nut paste 2 tsp
3. Tomato puree 1 cup
4. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
5. Mitha ator few drops or rose water 2 tsp
6. Salt to taste
7. Refine oil 2 tsp
8. Sugar ½ tbsp

PROCESS FOR KOFTA

Mix all ingredients of kofta except oil
Make medium size balls
Heat oil and deep fry the balls and keep aside on a kitchen towel

PROCESS FOR CURRY

Heat oil and add ginger and cashew nut paste, cook for few seconds
Add tomato puree and salt & sugar
Add garam masala powder and kofta
Add mitha ator or rose water
Serve with pullao
