The home made KFC style chicken legs are juice inside & crispy outside. This recipe can be easily prepared in your own kitchen. The procedure is easy to follow and ingredients are common, easily available and used in your daily cooking.
PREPARATION TIME – 10 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 10 to 12 MINUTES
SERVE FOR 4 PERSONS
Chicken legs medium size approximate 40 to 60 gm each - 8
Apple cider vinegar - 3 tbsp
Ginger & garlic past - 2 tsp ( keep only 2 cloves of garlic, the ratio of ginger, garlic will be 80/20)
Mixed herbs - 1 tsp
Egg - 2
Milk - 4 tbsp
All purpose flour - 1 large cup
Corn flour - 4 tbsp full
Chili flakes - 1 tsp
Corn flakes - 1 cup
Oil for deep fry
Salt to taste
Wash chicken legs, make 3 or 4 deep cuts of each piece with a sharp knife so that marinating ingredients should enter at the inside of legs.
Marinating with vinegar, salt, ginger & garlic paste, leave in fridge for over night.
Beat the eggs, add milk and little amount of salt and beat until fluffy.
Mix flour with corn flour, salt, herbs, chili flakes and corn flakes, keep the mixture in a flat plate.
Heat oil in deep frying pan & wati till it becomes hot, deep each leg in the egg mixture and roll on the flour mixture, repeat the procedure 5 times for each one.
When the oil becomes very hot with smoke, reduce the heat and slowly add legs, cover the pan and fry in low heat so that the inside part must be cooked.
Just before the plating, high the flame for 3 to 5 seconds, outside coating will be light brown.
Serve instantly with your favorite sauce.
