HEALTHY SPINACH ALMOND SOUP RECIPE


A green colored rich soup that contains mild aroma and topped with crushed almond and walnuts. It is very useful for stomach and heart.

I am using basil and some other herbs which have medicinal properties.

INGREDIENT


Fresh spinach – 250 gm
Fat free milk – 2 cups
20 almonds – ( socked in warm water for 2 hours and skinned)
Ginger strips – 1 tbsp
Pepper powder – 1 tsp ( freshly grained)
Some herbs like basil, mint, bay leaf, oregano dry
Walnut crushed very finely – 1 tbsp
Rice oil – 1 tsp
Salt to taste

PROCESS

Chopped spinach and wash properly
Add spinach in a heavy bottom pan and add water, the amount of water is 2 cups
Bring to boil until water totally evaporated
Transfer into blander, add little water to make a smooth paste
Heat oil in the same heavy bottom pan and add ginger strips
Add spinach paste, make a fine paste of 15 almonds and add
Mix well when the paste will be dry and oil starts to separates from pan add milk
Bring to boil, slowly add salt, pepper and herbs
It will take 10 minutes to get ready, sprinkle walnuts and almonds crushed
You can sprinkle grated cheese as per your choice
